Marissa Warzynski

Marissa Warzynski is a full-time Associate Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, College of Professional Studies. She teaches courses in financial accounting and accounting information systems and holds a CPA certification.

Research Interests:

Her research focuses on the intersection of accounting, entrepreneurship, and behavioral economics. She explores how psychological traits like grit influence entrepreneurial intent among university students, and how branding and pricing strategies affect consumer behavior and business sustainability.

Her scholarly work includes studies on grit and entrepreneurship, the implications of using price in company names, and the hidden costs of municipal decisions like street renaming. These works highlight her interest in applying economic and psychological theory to real-world business and policy challenges.
