Marissa Trosen is the Director of Respiratory Care Program and Instructor at South Dakota State University's Department of Allied and Population Health. She holds an A.S. (2013) and B.S. (2014) in Respiratory Care from Dakota State University, a Master of Public Health (2021) from SDSU, and is pursuing a Doctor of Medical Science in Healthcare Leadership at Northeastern University (anticipated 2025).
- Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality
With over a decade of experience in rural critical access hospitals, her expertise spans direct patient care across all care continuums, healthcare leadership (quality improvement, laboratory/radiology/therapy services management), and respiratory care program development. She currently serves on the South Dakota Society for Respiratory Care Board of Directors as Director-at-Large and the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.
