Marissa Mascorro

Marissa Mascorro serves as an Instructor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW). She has been with UIW since 2019, contributing to university-level mathematics education. Prior to this, she held roles as a mathematics instructor at Alamo Colleges (2016–2021) and taught grades 9–12 mathematics in Southwest ISD (2014–2019).

Dr. Mascorro is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education at Texas State University, building on her M.S. in Mathematics Education from USTA (2016) and B.S. in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin (2014). Her professional focus lies in advancing pedagogical strategies in mathematics education across secondary and post-secondary levels.
