Marion Duval is Associate Professor and Department Chair of French and Francophone Studies at the College of Wooster. Her research examines cultural memory of World War II in French/francophone media, with focus on perpetrator perspectives, sexuality in villain portrayals, and colonial imagery in Franco-European comics. She teaches courses on French theater, colonial racism in comics, war memory, and literary villains.
Duval earned her PhD from the University of Iowa (2011) after completing MA degrees at the University of Picardie and University of Iowa. Prior to joining Wooster, she taught at Salisbury University and maintains research collaborations with European institutions.
