Marion Bertin is a Researcher (Temporary Teaching and Research Associate, ATER) in museology at Avignon Université, affiliated with the Norbert Elias Center (UMR 8562). Her research focuses on the circulation of Oceanic objects in museums and art markets, exploring their material and digital trajectories, valuations, and biographies. She actively engages in academic dissemination through roles in the CASOAR association and the International Committee for Museology (ICOFOM).

Research Interests: Anthropology of art, museology, Pacific studies, cultural heritage dynamics, and object biographies. Her work critically examines how objects are viewed, classified, and valued across global contexts.
Recent Activities: Residency at the Institut national d'histoire de l'art (INHA) until June 2022, co-organizing film sessions and seminars on Oceanic research; participation in the 2022 ICOFOM symposium in Prague addressing taboos in museums.
