Mario Pansera is a Research Professor at the University of Vigo, affiliated with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town. His work centers on Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) and innovation for degrowth/postgrowth.
- Principal Investigator of the ERC Starting Grant-funded PROSPERA project (Grant Agreement: 947713)
- Coordinator of the H2020 JUST2CE project (Grant Agreement: 101003491)
- Member of the PGILaB Post Growth Innovation Lab and the Research Center on Atlantic Cultural Landscapes
His research explores sustainable innovation and business models aligned with ecological and social responsibility. He obtained a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Exeter Business School (2014) and held a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship in Brussels.
- Teaches Responsible Innovation in the ExeMBA program at the University of Cape Town
- Previously worked at the University of Bristol (2017–2020)
