Mario Fahed

Mario Fahed, MD is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and an Adjunct faculty member at Yale School of Medicine. Board certified in Geriatric Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry, he completed a Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at Yale University and a Psychiatry residency at SUNY Upstate. A Lebanese-trained International Medical Graduate, Dr. Fahed is a member of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism Honor Society. He focuses on academic psychiatry with special emphasis on medical student education, currently serving as Psychiatry Clerkship Director at UConn.

His research spans Technology in Mental Health (e.g., Extended Reality applications for elderly populations), Medical Education innovation (e.g., neuroimaging curricula for fellows), and neurobehavioral conditions like apathy in older adults.
