معرفی
Prof. Mario De Salvo is an Associate Professor of Geometry at the University of Messina, affiliated with the Department of Chemical, Biological, Pharmaceutical and Environmental Sciences. He holds a Mathematics degree from the University of Messina (1977, cum laude). His academic roles include Associate Professorships in Geometry and Mathematical Institutions since 1995. He is a member of the Italian Mathematicians Union (UMI) and GNSAGA (section 4).
Research focuses on combinatorial structures, hyperstructures (e.g., hypergroups, hyperrings), binary multivocal systems, graph theory, and finite geometries. He has authored over 46 scientific articles and coordinated research projects such as PRA 2005/2006 funds. He actively participates in conferences, including international congresses on algebraic hyperstructures and combinatorics.
Teaching includes courses like Graph Theory, Geometry II, and Mathematics for Biological/Chemical Sciences. He has organized multiple academic events, including the International Congress on Algebraic Hyperstructures (1999) and the ISGDA 2003 symposium. His contributions span national research programs on geometric structures and combinatorial applications.
Grants include participation in PRIN projects and coordination of local research initiatives. He collaborates with institutions like the University of Udine’s Department of Mathematics. His work bridges algebraic hyperstructures with combinatorial theories, emphasizing structural and applied aspects.
