Mario Aznar Perez

Mario Aznar Pérez is a Researcher at the University of Murcia's Department of Didactics of Language and Literature, affiliated with the Faculty of Education. He holds a PhD from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and has conducted research at the University of Florence and the Italian Institute of Philosophical Studies in Naples. His academic roles include coordinating the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education and serving as Academic Director of the Master's in Creative Writing at UNIR.

His research focuses on interdisciplinary connections between theory and literary education, analysis of reading processes, and contemporary Hispanic narratives. He is a member of multiple research groups including ‘Plural Scriptures: Intertextuality and Interdisciplinarity’ and ‘ETILIJ: New Ethical Values in Children's Literature’. His work explores intersections of writing with visual arts and expanded literary forms.

Aznavar has organized international conferences such as ‘Giorgio Bassani: The Passion for the Image’ (2016) and ‘Melancholy-18’ (2018). He edited Enrique Vila-Matas’ works and authored the award-winning novel Too Late (2022). Upcoming publications include monographs on creative language deviations and literature's role in social change.

His teaching innovation projects emphasize OER development and visual narratives in early education. He edits the literary website lectorsalteado.com, showcasing experimental writing and critical discourse.
