Marino Belloni

Marino Belloni is an Associate Professor of Mathematical Analysis in the Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Parma, Italy. He has been a core faculty member since 1994 and holds a PhD from the University of Pisa. His academic work spans teaching, research, and service in mathematical analysis and its applications.

Research Interests: His primary research lies in the Calculus of Variations and nonlinear analysis, with focus areas including shape optimization, optimal control problems, the Lavrentiev phenomenon, variational problems without compactness (e.g., Newton's problem), and eigenvalue analysis of the infinity Laplacian. His work combines theoretical depth with applications in mechanics and geometry.

The recent publications reflect both research and pedagogical contributions, including theoretical and exercise-based textbooks on Mathematical Analysis. These works support engineering and mathematics education and demonstrate a sustained commitment to curriculum development.
