Marine Carpuat

Marine Carpuat is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, with joint appointments at the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS), the College of Information Studies (iSchool), and the Applied Mathematics & Statistics, and Scientific Computation (AMSC) program. Her research focuses on Human-Centered Natural Language Processing, particularly in multilingual machine translation and addressing societal challenges in cross-language communication.
