Dr. Marine Béranger is a researcher and academic specializing in Ancient Near Eastern studies at the Freie Universität Berlin's Institute of Ancient Near Eastern Studies. She holds a doctoral degree from the École Pratique des Hautes Études (2018). Her research focuses on Mesopotamian history during the Old Babylonian period (2004–1595 BC), with expertise in political, economic, and cultural history, scribal practices, and archival analysis. She is affiliated with the Department of History and Cultural Studies and contributes to projects like the DFG Center for Advanced Studies 2615 and the Einstein Center Chronoi.
