Marina Vranić serves as a Full Professor at the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Agriculture within the Department of Field Crops, Forage and Grassland and Division for Plant Sciences. Her expertise focuses on sustainable grassland ecosystems and forage production systems.
Her research spans ecological grassland management, biomass production in marginal environments, and forage conservation technologies. Key projects include coordinating “Ecologically acceptable management of organic fertilizers in forage production” (MZOS-funded, 2007-2013) and leading consecutive University of Zagreb projects on “Sustainable production of grassland biomass and energy crops in marginal ecological areas” (2015-2017).
She teaches core courses including Grassland Management Systems, Forage Conservation, and Ecological Aspects of Grassland Management, with documented instruction in both Croatian and English curricula. Her work emphasizes practical applications for sustainable agricultural practices in challenging ecological zones.
