معرفی
Marin Karuza is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Physics, University of Rijeka. His research focuses on precision measurements, quantum and nonlinear optics, and dark matter detection. He actively collaborates with CERN, Fermilab, and international initiatives like the International Axion Observatory (IAXO) project. Karuza has contributed significantly to axion helioscope experiments, muon g-2 measurements, and innovative detector technologies.
His educational background includes a PhD in Physics, with expertise in experimental particle physics and optics. Teaching responsibilities include Advanced Electrodynamics, Experimental Methods in Physics, and Structure of Matter Laboratory.
Research highlights include pioneering work on solar axion detection using GridPix detectors, establishing new limits on axion-photon coupling with CAST, and leading the Muon g-2 calibration system at Fermilab. His articles explore dark matter signatures in cosmic rays, quantum transparency phenomena, and planetary dynamics linked to dark sector interactions.
He has developed advanced optical sensing techniques and holographic interferometry for particle detector diagnostics. Current projects include stratospheric dark matter detection and investigating short-distance interactions with KWISP force sensors.
