Dr. Marilyn Fraser is a Research Associate Professor at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University with joint appointments in the Department of Community Health Sciences (School of Public Health) and Department of Medicine. She serves as CEO of the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health (AAIUH) and co-Director of the Brooklyn Health Disparities Center. Previously, she managed AAIUH's research and community outreach programs.
Her research focuses on developing behavioral health interventions and training curricula for community-based health education programs. She co-led NIH and CDC-funded projects including the ACCESS initiative for formerly incarcerated individuals.
Dr. Fraser earned her medical degree from Spartan Health Sciences University and completed training across multiple countries. Her extensive awards recognize both scientific contributions and community impact.
