Marilena Loverde is an Assistant Professor at the C. N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics and the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Stony Brook University. Her research focuses on theoretical astrophysics and cosmology, with emphasis on cosmic neutrino background, primordial non-Gaussianity, weak gravitational lensing, and dark matter physics. She leads the Stony Brook Cosmology Group and mentors several PhD students and postdocs.
Her recent publications explore spectroscopic experiments, dark radiation properties, and cosmological simulations. Research trends include advanced data analysis techniques in astrophysics and theoretical modeling of cosmic structures.
Dr. Loverde advises multiple graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in cosmology and astrophysics. Her group maintains active collaborations on international projects like the Stage-IV CMB Experiment.
