Marija Cerjak is a Full Professor at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture, specializing in Agri-food marketing, Consumer behavior, and Experimental economics. She has held significant roles such as Vice Dean for Science and International Relations and coordinated numerous EU-funded projects.
- Education: BSc (1993-1998), MSc (1998-2005), PhD (2001-2005) from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture; Executive MBA (2005-2007) from the same institution.
Her research focuses on Agricultural economics, Rural tourism, and Sustainable development, with applications in regional marketing and consumer behavior. She has led projects like Genetske, gospodarske i društvene interakcije programa očuvanja lokalnih pasmina (Horizon 2020) and Razvoj agro-turizma u Dubrovačko-neretvanskoj županiji, emphasizing sustainable agribusiness systems.
Prof. Cerjak has received international recognition through scholarships such as the Cochran Fellowship (USDA), CEEPUS, and ÖAD scholarships. She actively participates in academic mobility via Erasmus+ teaching assignments and serves as President of the Croatian Society of Agricultural Economists.
