Marielle Christiansen

Marielle Christiansen is the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management at NTNU and holds the rank of Professor. She has been the head of the Department of Industrial Economics and Technology Management since 2017. Her academic journey includes a PhD from NTNU (1996) and prior research at SINTEF.

Her research focuses on maritime transport optimization, logistics systems, and healthcare collaboration with St. Olavs Hospital. She has contributed extensively to inventory routing, fleet deployment, and supply chain management, with notable work in liner shipping networks and sustainable transportation.

Publications reflect her expertise in maritime logistics, healthcare optimization, and operations research. Awards highlight her international impact in logistics innovation.

Teaching spans microeconomics to industrial optimization, emphasizing curriculum relevance and student engagement. She has advised numerous researchers and collaborates with industry leaders like SINTEF and St. Olavs Hospital.
