Mariel Thottam

Mariel Thottam is a Health Outcomes Researcher (Team Lead) at the Center for Outcomes Research & Evaluation (CORE) within Yale School of Medicine. She leads three teams focused on rulemaking, multi-stakeholder engagement, and person/family engagement initiatives. Previously promoted from Research Associate IV, her work emphasizes applied, person-centered research to inform quality measure development and stakeholder engagement in healthcare.

Education: MS in Developmental Psychology (University of Reading, 2016); BS in Psychology (College of Charleston, 2015).

Research Interests: Behavioral health measurement, stakeholder engagement strategies, and translational research bridging clinical practice with patient/family needs. Her cognitive psychology background focuses on memory processes in aging populations.
