Marieke van der Heijden

Marieke van der Heijden is a Lecturer at the Dutch National Ballet Academy, part of the Academy of Theater and Dance. Since 2001, she has taught classical ballet in pre-NBA classes and, since 2019, Progressing Ballet Technique. She serves as coordinator for the pre-NBA program and the Scouting and Outreach Programme, specializing in transferring ballet technique to young children through her expertise and enthusiasm.

Education:

• Graduated from the Theater School (now Academy of Theater and Dance) in Amsterdam in 1995 with a specialization in classical ballet, children's dance, and modern dance.

• Talent development in dance
