Marie Walter-Franke

Marie Walter-Franke is a researcher specializing in migration and asylum policy, currently serving as a Scientific Employee at the Council of German Foundations for Integration and Migration (SVR) in Berlin since January 2024. Her work focuses on citizenship and integration of refugees, with particular expertise in European Union asylum governance.

Walter-Franke completed her PhD in Political Science at Freie Universität Berlin in 2023 with a dissertation titled 'The government of exile: framing Europe's refugees in the common European asylum system.'
