معرفی
Marie Riisgaard-Jensen is a PhD Fellow at the Department of Chemistry and Bioscience, Faculty of Engineering and Science, Aalborg University, Denmark. Her research is conducted within the Per Halkjær Nielsen LAB, focusing on environmental microbiology and wastewater treatment systems.
Her research interests center on microbial communities in wastewater and sewer systems, particularly the dynamics of process-critical bacteria. She investigates how primary settling affects microbial composition in influent wastewater and explores the origin of key bacteria in treatment plants through sewer microbiome analysis.
The trends in her work, as reflected in her conference presentations from 2023 to 2024, emphasize environmental microbiome dynamics, microbial ecology, and engineering microbiology. Her research bridges environmental science and biotechnology, aiming to improve wastewater treatment efficiency through microbial insights.
