Dr. Marie Pettit is Associate Professor in Formulation Science and Director of the Medway Centre for Pharmaceutical Science at the University of Greenwich. She manages industrial partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, operating under GLP standards for pre-formulation characterization and stability testing.
Her research develops delivery systems for inhaled, parenteral, and oral medicines, including veterinary applications. Earlier work created nanoscale oral vaccines for infectious bursal disease. Pettit utilizes HPLC analysis, dissolution optimization, and API stabilization techniques.
Qualifications include a PhD from Greenwich and PGCE from Brighton. She transitioned to academia after secondary school teaching, building on industrial research collaborations with Professor John Mitchell.
