Marie Menant

Marie Menant is an architect, associate lecturer, and doctoral researcher at PSL University, affiliated with the Paris-Malaquais School of Architecture. She works within the Architecture / Culture / Society (ACS) laboratory and teaches in the Department of Art, Architecture, and Politics at ENSA Malaquais.

Her research examines the spatial and political dramaturgies of contemporary occupations, including comparative studies of the ZAD of Notre-Dame-des-Landes and the Jungle of Calais. She is actively involved in the PEROU project led by Sébastien Thiéry and contributes to critical discourse on architectural practice in crisis contexts.

Marie's work explores intersections between architecture, political theory, and urban studies, emphasizing innovative tools for addressing global crises. Her published article Optics and politics, history of a deferred (2022) analyzes power spatialities and image globalization.
