Professor Marie Coleman, a leading scholar in Twentieth-Century Irish History, is affiliated with the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics at Queen's University Belfast. A graduate of University College Dublin, she specializes in the Irish Revolution (1916-1923), focusing on pensions for combatants, gender dynamics, and Protestant experiences during this transformative period. Her expertise extends to politics and society in independent Ireland and transnational responses to partition.

Research Interests: Her work explores multifaceted aspects of the Irish Revolution, including material compensation systems, gender roles, and minority experiences. She contributes significantly to historiography through archival analysis and public engagement initiatives.
