Mariano Torras is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Finance and Economics at the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business, Adelphi University. He has held this position since 2013 and has been a faculty member at Adelphi since 1999. He also serves as a Senior Research Fellow at Tufts University's Global Development and Environment Institute and as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Notre Dame's Institute for Latino Studies, reflecting his broad academic engagement.
