Marianne Storm is a Professor at the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Stavanger, Norway. Her research focuses on patient/user involvement, care coordination, digital health, and health promotion in mental health and elderly care settings. She has led and contributed to numerous projects funded by the Norwegian Research Council and other institutions, including studies on eHealth interventions, interprofessional collaboration, and community health promotion.
Storm holds a Ph.D. and was a 2017-2018 Norwegian Harkness Fellow in Health Care Policy and Practice. She has supervised multiple PhD projects addressing topics like eHealth coordination for elderly patients and user involvement in mental healthcare. Her work emphasizes organizational learning, simulation training, and boundary work to enhance healthcare quality.
Key research projects include 'More Good Days at Home' (2021-2025), exploring health-promoting practices in home care, and a focus on AI's role in mental healthcare. She is also involved in developing digital tools like DigiPer for individuals with serious mental illness. Her contributions span peer-reviewed publications in journals such as BMJ Open, BMC Health Services Research, and Health Promotion International.
Storm's awards include the Harkness Fellowship, and she actively participates in national health services research networks. Her current projects address nursing home innovation, antibiotic stewardship, and the integration of peer support in healthcare.
