Marianne Lykke is a Professor and Research Section Leader in the Department of Communication and Psychology at Aalborg University, within The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. She specializes in Information Architecture and Knowledge Organization Systems, emphasizing user-centered design methodologies and their application in professional contexts.
Education: PhD in Communication and Informatics from Åbo Akademi University (2002). Research focuses on user practice studies, design methodologies, and societal impact measurement through taxonomies. Key areas include science communication in museums and digital tools for environmental education.
Research interests span knowledge organization systems, user-centered design, and societal impact assessment. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications in public and private sectors. Notable projects include developing taxonomies for societal problem-solving and virtual role model platforms for education.
