معرفی
Marianne Liebi is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Materials Physics at Chalmers University of Technology since August 2017. She holds a PhD in Food Science from ETH Zurich (2013) and conducted postdoctoral research at the Swiss Light Source (SLS), Paul Scherrer Institute, focusing on SAXS imaging method development. She maintains an affiliation with the MAX IV Laboratory, Lund University. Her research centers on developing advanced X-ray scattering and imaging techniques for hierarchical materials, with applications in biomedical and polymer systems.
- Education: PhD in Food Science (ETH Zurich, 2013), Postdoc at Swiss Light Source (SLS).
- Key Projects: Lead investigator of the ForMAX beamline for multiscale material characterization and the EU-funded Multi-Modal Tensor Tomography (MUMOTT) project.
- Research Themes: X-ray tensor tomography, hierarchical material nanostructure analysis, biomedical applications (e.g., bone healing, drug delivery), and polymer processing.
Her contributions include pioneering work on small-angle X-ray scattering tensor tomography and collaborations in bioprosthesis characterization and plasmonic materials for hydrogen sensing. She actively engages in interdisciplinary projects bridging materials physics, biomedical engineering, and polymer science.
