معرفی
Marianna Musco is a Fixed-Term Level III Researcher at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), specializing in marine ecology and environmental science. Her work focuses on benthic foraminifera, planktonic organisms, and their roles as bioindicators of environmental health. She holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences (2012) from Ca' Foscari University of Venice and a BSc in Natural Sciences (2008) from the University of Palermo.
Research Interests:
- Marine biodiversity and ecosystem health
- Physico-chemical factors influencing coastal marine environments
- Biological responses to anthropogenic stressors
- Taxonomy and ecology of foraminifera, zooplankton, and phytoplankton
Her publications (2006–2019) analyze benthic foraminifera as bioindicators, larval fish distribution, and marine pollution impacts. Notable projects include the "MAGINOT" training program and studies funded by the European Maritime Policy. She has participated in over 10 research projects addressing environmental monitoring, sustainable fisheries, and marine biodiversity protection.
Teaching: Delivered modules on Marine Biology, Ecotoxicology, and Environmental Monitoring Systems through CNR training programs.
