Marianna Csörnyei is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Chicago. Her research explores geometric measure theory, real analysis, and geometric nonlinear functional analysis, with recent focus on Lipschitz differentiability, tangential properties of sets, null set structures, and Kakeya problems.
Research Focus: Her work bridges abstract mathematical theory and geometric intuition, addressing fundamental questions about the structure of Euclidean spaces under nonlinear transformations. Current investigations include differentiation theorems in non-smooth settings and the interplay between measure theory and geometric constraints.
Academic Recognition: Elected Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (2019), Noether Lecturer (2021).
