Marianna Capasso is a postdoctoral researcher in Ethics & Philosophy of Technology at Utrecht University's Department of Media and Culture Studies, leading the Cross-Cultural AI Ethics Cluster within the AI Inclusive Lab. Her work focuses on AI ethics, political philosophy, and socio-ethical implications of technology, particularly concerning human freedom, algorithmic discrimination, and the future of work. She holds a PhD cum laude from Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, with visiting research experience at TU Delft. She is currently leading the EU-funded FINDHR project, exploring intersectional discrimination in algorithmic hiring and synthetic data governance.
