Mariana Cabanová is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, Matej Bel University (UMB), where she has worked since 2008. She holds multiple roles, including deputy head of department, study advisor for PEPgBc external (2nd year), department coordinator of the Erasmus+ program, and chairwoman of the AS PF UMB. Her research focuses on pedagogical diagnostics, inclusive education, and the development of literacy skills in early education.

- Advanced studies in special pedagogy - counseling (2013)
- Worked as a teacher in youth homes and as an assistant professor
- Participant in VEGA, KEGA, and APVV research projects
Her professional interests include inclusive education, pre-literacy skill development in kindergartens, literacy in primary education, and teacher training. She has authored 11 book publications, including 8 monographs and 3 university textbooks. Office hours: Monday-Wednesday 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM; Thursday-Friday by appointment.
