Marian Verkerk is a Professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Groningen, specifically affiliated with the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). Her academic leadership spans ethics research with active roles in Verslavingszorg Noord Nederland (board member since 2020), FRION (board member since 2019), Stichting Levenseindekliniek (member since 2017), and NWO VENI committee service (2019-2021).
