Mariam Goshadze is a Junior Professor for History of Religions at the Institute of Religious Studies, University of Leipzig, a position she has held since March 2023. She is affiliated with the DFG Centre for Advanced Study 'Multiple Secularities - Beyond the West, Beyond Modernities' at Leipzig University.
Her academic journey includes:

She has made significant contributions to understanding how religious traditions adapt within secular frameworks, particularly through her work on sonic dimensions of religious practice and the translation of religious concepts into secular language. Dr. Goshadze actively contributes to academic discourse through organizing workshops such as '(Im)Materiality of the Secular City: Trials and Tribulations' at the Leipzig Research Centre Global Dynamics.
