Mariah Meier

Mariah Meier is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Northern Iowa, affiliated with the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences and the Department of Nursing & Public Health. She focuses on teaching critical evaluation of evidence and promoting best practices in clinical settings.

• Education: Doctor of Nursing Practice (in progress) from Allen College, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa, and an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing from Des Moines Area Community College.

Her research interests center on enhancing communication in clinical environments, maintaining normothermia during perioperative care, and utilizing evidence-based simulation for nursing education. Mariah is based in ITTC 318 and can be reached at 319-273-5173.
