Maria Trivieri

Maria Trivieri is an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, affiliated with the Department of Medicine, Cardiology and the Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Division. She serves as the Medical Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program, combining clinical leadership with translational research.

Her research focuses on molecular mechanisms of heart failure and pulmonary hypertension, utilizing advanced techniques in genetic engineering, stem cell biology, and viral gene therapy. Recent work includes applications of PET-MRI and deep learning in cardiac sarcoidosis and mitral valve dynamics, with emphasis on inflammatory markers and fluid modeling.
