Maria Teresa Castells Mora

Maria Teresa Castells Mora is a part-time lecturer at the University of Murcia, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Departamento de Cell Biology and Histology. Her research focuses on gametogenesis, fertilization mechanisms, early embryonic development, and glycoprotein morphology in vertebrate respiratory systems.

• Education: PhD in Cell Biology from University of Murcia (1989) with thesis: Caracterización histoquímica de las glucoproteínas del aparato respiratorio de diversos vertebrados, supervised by Dr. Francisco Hernandez Calvo and Dr. José Francisco Ballesta Germán.

Her work integrates morphological and functional studies of cellular structures, particularly in reproductive and respiratory systems. She has contributed to the Integración Morfofuncional de Células y Tejidos and Morfologico de Glucoproteinas y Melaninas research groups.
