Maria Sapounaki

Maria Sapounaki is a Researcher at the Intelligent Systems Laboratory and a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics at the University of Thessaly. Her academic journey includes a BSc (2019) and MSc (2021) from the same department, focusing on informatics and computational biomedicine.

Her research interests revolve around neuromorphic circuits, spiking neural networks, neuroprosthetics, and low-power system design. She has extensive experience with programming languages (Python, MATLAB, VHDL) and hardware platforms like Arduino and FPGA boards.
