Maria Rincon Calero is an Associate Teaching Professor at the School of Arts and Sciences, Tufts University, where she has served since 2014. She previously held roles as Senior Lecturer (2020–2024) and Lecturer (2014–2020) in the Department of Romance Studies.

Her recent scholarly work includes studies on Romantic tales, historical biographies, and cultural periodicals. She has actively contributed to pedagogical innovation through workshops on Canvas integration, intercultural communication, and digital edition tools.
