Maria Masgrau Juanola

Maria Masgrau Juanola serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Specific Didactics within the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the University of Girona, specializing in the Didactics of Language and Literature.

Her academic credentials include a Licentiate in Philology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), a Postgraduate in Cultural Management from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), and a Doctorate in Literature and Education from the University of Girona. Her doctoral research examined visual poetry and its didactic applications in educational contexts.

Her research spans initial literacy development, reading and writing pedagogy, creativity enhancement in educational settings, service learning frameworks, and participatory co-design approaches. She integrates cultural management expertise with educational innovation through editorial, digital, and associative sector projects focused on fostering creativity and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Masgrau Juanola maintains active affiliations with the Institute of Educational Research (Institut de Recerca Educativa) and the Research Group in Education, Heritage and Intermedia Arts (GREPAI). Her teaching experience extends internationally to the Autonomous University of Barcelona, University of Cologne, and University of Bonn in Germany.
