Maria Marco Martinez

Maria Marco Martinez is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of Didactics of Language and Literature (Spanish, English and French) at the University of Murcia's Faculty of Education. She holds a PhD from the University of Murcia, awarded in 2017, with a thesis titled Analysis and Interpretation of a Poetic-Musical Model with Hypertextual Didactic Projection in Primary Education. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary educational methodologies that integrate poetry, music, and digital tools to enhance literacy in primary education. She is affiliated with the Grupo de Investigación Interdisciplinar: Psicología Educativa y Didáctica de La Lengua, La Literatura y Las Artes.

Her doctoral work addressed the lack of student interest in poetry, proposing an innovative hypertextual model combining poetry and music through Spanish poets from the late 19th and 20th centuries. The model was validated across multiple educational levels, demonstrating its effectiveness in fostering literacy through intertextual and artistic approaches.
