- MS, 2014, University of Michigan
- BA, 2011, University of Michigan
Her research integrates clinical psychology and developmental science to study the long-term psychological effects of early-life exposure to interpersonal violence, particularly intimate partner violence (IPV). She focuses on how family dynamics, cultural context, and structural inequities contribute to disparities in mental health outcomes among ethnically diverse populations. Her work emphasizes resilience, psychopathology, and the role of community-based interventions in promoting recovery.
Her recent publications show a strong focus on longitudinal and dyadic studies of PTSD symptoms in mothers and children, intervention efficacy (e.g., Moms’ Empowerment Program), and the interplay between parenting, child temperament, and mental health. These studies employ advanced statistical modeling to uncover developmental trajectories and protective factors.
