Maria Luiza Pinho

Maria Luiza Pinho is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management at Widener University's School of Business Administration. She holds a PhD in Strategy Management from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (2018) and a second PhD in Marketing - International Business from Georgia State University (2023). Her research focuses on paradoxes in global business, multinationals, senior entrepreneurship, and emerging markets. She is a board member of the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce – Southeast since 2018 and has over 15 years of executive experience in a French multinational company.

Dr. Pinho's academic contributions include pioneering work on agility in organizations, international licensing strategies for SMEs, and frameworks for senior entrepreneurship. She teaches at Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson School of Business and has received prestigious awards such as the GTA Teaching Award (2019-2020) and the Graduate Teaching Excellence Award (2021). Her research spans creative industries, CSR, and business-society tensions, with notable publications in Journal of Business Research and Creative Industries Journal.
