Maria Kyriakou is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the School of Economics, University of Kent, where she joined in September 2022. She is affiliated with the Macroeconomics, Growth and History Centre (MaGHiC) and serves as an Editor for RMS: Research in Mathematics. Prior to Kent, she held a Lecturer role in Econometrics at the Department of Economics, University of Southampton. Her work bridges theoretical econometrics with applied methodologies for spatial and network data.

Research Interests: Maria’s research focuses on advanced econometric techniques, particularly spatial econometrics, simulation methods, and time series analysis. Her work emphasizes data-driven approaches to model spatial and network dependencies, contributing to econometric theory and applied economics. Recent projects include methodological developments for heteroskedastic spatial models.
Scientific Contributions: She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and actively engages in editorial and peer-review roles.
