Maria Krupenkin is an Assistant Professor in the College of Information at the University of Maryland, College Park. She previously served as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Boston College and held fellowships at Princeton's Center for the Study of Democratic Politics (CSDP) and Microsoft Research.
Her research focuses on political behavior, with specific interests in racial prejudice, immigration, and partisanship, combining survey methodologies with computational approaches. She is currently authoring a book on immigrants' racial attitudes.
Krupenkin's work has been highlighted in major media outlets including NBC News, Vox, Politico, The New York Times, and The Atlantic. She is affiliated with the Global Elections and Information Security (GEIS) and Social Data Science Center (SoDa) research centers.
