Maria Juan Garau

Maria Juan Garau is a Full Professor of English Philology at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), where she has worked since 1995. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in applied linguistics with a focus on second and additional language acquisition. Her research examines the impact of diverse learning contexts, including study abroad experiences, content-integrated language instruction, and traditional formal education.
