Maria Jose Garcia Rodriguez

María José García Rodríguez is a Professor in the Department of Spanish Literature, Literary Theory and Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Murcia. She earned her PhD from the same university with a dissertation on parody in Eduardo Mendoza's narrative world, supervised by Dr. José María Pozuelo Yvancos.

García Rodríguez's recent publications focus on 21st-century Hispanic literature, examining themes of memory, identity, and aesthetic experience through interdisciplinary approaches combining literary theory, cultural studies, and performance analysis.

She leads the research group History and Epistemology of Literary Theory, investigating foundational concepts and methodological frameworks in literary studies.
