Maria João Cabrita

Maria João Cabrita is an Assistant Professor at the University of Beira Interior’s Department of Communication, Philosophy and Politics. She holds a PhD in History of Political Ideas from Nova University of Lisbon (2007) and has been a postdoctoral researcher at CEHUM (2008–2014). Her research focuses on contemporary political philosophy, emphasizing social justice, human rights, migration, and global justice.

She has contributed to projects like the international REPRODUCE initiative (funded by Spain’s MCIN/AEI), examining social and biological reproduction in public spheres.
