Maria Hamrin is an Associate Professor of Physics at Umeå universitet, Sweden, and Director of the Engineering Programme in Physics. Her research focuses on space plasma physics, with particular emphasis on magnetosheath jets, solar wind-magnetosphere interactions, and planetary plasma environments. She holds a Docent title and is recognized as a Distinguished University Teacher.
Research interests include: magnetosheath dynamics, ionospheric response to solar wind disturbances, cometary plasma environments (e.g., 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko), and planetary magnetospheres (e.g., Venus, Mars).
